What does a long distance hiker, soldier or hiker, value above all else? Well, at least rest from the rain and shelter from the eyes. And, of course, the fact that the shelter does not add much to the weight of the rucksack and takes up little space. So it can be said that the hiker and the soldier particularly appreciate the tarpaulin.
The tarpaulin fabrics developed by Foxa are thin, light and durable. We have paid particular attention to the tear resistance of the fabrics, so that they can withstand being stretched between trees as a canopy, for example over a hammock or sleeping pad. The strength of the fabric is provided by the ripstop weave structure.
When tarpaulin fabrics are used to make excellent rucksack shelters and tents, we recommend a water vapour impermeable membrane for the fabric. For human-wearable shelters, such as raincoats, we recommend a water vapour permeable lamination, which allows the fabric to breathe and is comfortable to wear.
